GRITTS

The working man’s musician. Clarence Jones, aka Gritts, is a musician through and through. Not only is he an emcee and singer, but he also is a multi-instrumentalist. Originally from Anderson, Indiana, Clarence has played trombone (and multiple brass instruments) for over two decades. Aside, he also plays bass guitar, drums, piano, and other brass instruments. You may know Gritts from Hinx Jones, as the group has put out multiple albums and EPs since 2008, and shared the stage with Oddisee, Mighty High Coup, Psalm One, Tef Poe, and many other notable artists. Clarence is also in Ghanaian-Rock-Highlife band Sweet Poison Victim, where he shares lead vocals and plays various instruments. Clarence also teaches instrument lessons on the side.
